Contract Negotiations Results To Be Voted On
The Memphis Police Association has reached an agreement with the City of Memphis. On 04/10/08 the Association signed a tentative agreement with the city for the following:
- 5% raise starting in July 2008
- 3% raise starting in July 2009
- No change in the uniform allotment, $325.00 on officers
checks in July, Plus $50.00 for maintenance
- $490.00 salary increase starting in July 2009
- Longevity pay converted to a percentage
This agreement is not final until the membership accepts or rejects the offer. On Monday 04/14/08, a box will be set up at the Association so that members can vote. There will also be two meetings scheduled for 0900hrs, and 1630hrs, at the Association. This agreement needs to be ratified or it will go to impasse. Come and cast your vote.
